Fresh off the press since 2014.

 

After moving back from Los Angeles, Asheville native Gary Steuber, along with his brother Joey, opened the doors of the original Mountain Juicery in South Asheville in 2014. Thanks to the brothers’ hard work, irresistible personalities, and insanely delicious recipes Mountain Juicery quickly became a local favorite! Over the years, the vegan juice and smoothie bar has truly been a family run business, with Gary slinging smoothies, Joey and their dad pressing juice, and Mama Steuber creating our famous vegan chocolate chip cherry cookies.

 

As the story goes, in 2017, Walker and Ashley Covington from Raleigh, NC met with the brothers about opening a second location in Hendersonville, NC, and thankfully they were onboard. With a passion for a healthy lifestyle and searching for more work/life balance, moving to WNC to open Mountain Juicery #2 was the perfect fit. With hard work and amazing support from Gary, Joey, and the community, Walker and Ashley opened Mountain Juicery Hendersonville in July 2018.

 

When the brothers wanted to take on new adventures at the end of 2019, it was a seamless transition for Walker and Ashley to take over the original Mountain Juicery in Asheville. Who knew what 2020 would have in store for everyone?  After 5 great years, the wandering lust hit the Covington Family and the Son/Father duo of Ian and Patrick Russell took over the operations.  And now, in 2026, we have opened a second store in North Asheville/Woodfin area in hopes to spread the health and wellness focus that Mountain Juicery provides.
